There are three options for using the wallet custody tool:
1. Institutional investors will connect directly to DeFi platforms while using their own wallets, such as MetaMask.
A: This is not recommended. Because wallet operation policies are rare, and handling without sufficient knowledge is not considered safe. In other words, you will be exposed to many unforeseen risks. ( Cold wallets such as SecuX are useful in this option. Although handling is more complicated, security is significantly improved compared to operating only hot wallets such as MetaMask.)
2. Institutional investors will use their own contract custody tools to work with DeFi platforms.
A: This is one of the most secure solutions. As a provider of wallet and custody tools, professional vendors have knowledge about security.
3. DeFi platforms will contract with custody tool vendors to provide users with separate, secure wallets (separate management will be done through delegate wallets).
A: The DeFi platform will manage the wallets, which raises regulatory issues (it may be considered custody of customer assets).
