Eventually, the time will come when you will need to replace your device due to battery wear or poor connection. While the lifespan of a typical device varies, there is no doubt that it is linked to the lifespan of a lithium battery.
If you need to use it, you might be worried if it doesn't turn on, so let's just throw it away after three years . The purpose is to safely and securely supplement your crypto assets (tokens). So, if you continue to use it just because it's still usable, you might run into unexpected problems, so to avoid that, you should get a new device.
In this case, you could use a new version of the hardware wallet you have been using, or our product SecuX, which offers particularly high security.
1. Transfer crypto assets (tokens)
2. Make sure all your crypto assets (tokens) are on your new device
3. Physically destroy the blank device to render it unusable
4. Discard the paper with the seed phrase recorded on it.
Be extremely careful to erase the paper on which your seed phrase is recorded. In the extreme, even if your hardware wallet is physically destroyed, it can be restored as long as you have the seed phrase.
Therefore, since the seed phrase itself is the main body, deleting the seed phrase will make the address completely inaccessible. However, on the flip side, it means that you will never be able to retrieve it again.
